Abstract

We introduce a new class of basic wavelet packets, called highly nonstationary wavelet packets, that generalize the class of nonstationary wavelet packets. We define the periodic Shannon wavelet packets and show how to obtain perturbations of this system using periodic highly nonstationary wavelet packets.
