Abstract
The development of the theater arts, especially the field of acting can be done through the inclusion strategy of (multi) theories, and enriched with cross-disciplinary insights through knowledge reconnection. This paper will discuss the inclusion strategy of several theories, including Theater Acting, Semiotics of Clothing, and Fashion-ology; enriched with insight as the reconnection of knowledge to produce a new concept formulation, called the Pose Theater. This paper produces a formulation of the Pose Theater concept, in the form of a kinetic-visual strategy to convey narrative elements and semiotics of clothing, and an adaptation of acting into a vocabulary of pose art. At the application level, this concept is derived into a model formulation of a Narrative Fashion Performance. Narrative Fashion Performance is built by the attraction of posing creations as a recreation of tableau art, the semioticization of fashion styles to represent characters, whose narrative concepts and storytelling modes are linked to the research results of the phenomenon of 'selfie' and 'TikTok' on social media, as external references. The making of the script model as an application of the Pose Theater concept, using classical Aristotelian dramatic structures, is intended as an attempt to borrow, where this model uses materials, ideas, or forms from the conventions of arranging scenes in theatrical presentation. But the way of arranging the elements in each scene is the result of a transposition where the work of adaptation is a change from one semiotic system to another, from a literal-dramatic theater system to a kinetic-visual performative system.
