Abstract

There are many acute care and preventive medications for the treatment of migraine. However, patients may often find that their headaches are not under optimal control. There are several targets that have been looked at and studied for the production of new, more effective medications. There are also effective devices for therapy of migraine. A list of targets will be put forth and a small number of them will be described in greater detail in this paper. © The Author(s) 2009.
