Abstract

Diatraea busckella is considered the most limiting pest in sugarcane crops in the Municipality of Supia, Colombia, generating great losses in production. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of parasitoids Trichogramma exiguum, Lydella minense, Billaea claripalpis, Cotesia flavipes, fungi and B. bassiana and the bacteria B. thuringiensis kurstaki variety for the control of this pest. An intensity of pest infestation of 0.57% was found in the plots where the release and application of the natural enemies was carried out, while in the control plot the infestation was 4.17%. The bio-controllers used are presented as an alternative for pest control.
