Abstract

The article reports on the application of computer aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) systems into dental settings in the U.S. Dentists have incorporated CAD/CAM systems into their offices and within-office system. The Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics system is one of the systems that emerged as an effective in-office automated system that has been available commercially for 20 years.
