Abstract

Summary: The effect of administering atropine by intramuscular and oral routes was compared by measuring the depression of salivation in nine healthy adult subjects. The ratio of oral to intramuscular dose for the same peak effect was found to be 1.86 (SD 0.50, SE 0.16). © 1973 John Sherratt and Son Ltd.
