Abstract

ABSTRAK. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak indeks massa tubuh terhadap Functional Movement Screen (FMS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survei. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah atlet POPB yang berjumlah 39 orang. Dan rencananya penelitian ini akan dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2024. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan terbalik antara Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dengan Functional Movement Screen (FMS). Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai r= -0.559 dengan P>0.05. Kesimpulannya terdapat hubungan terbalik antara IMT dengan FMS. semakin tinggi IMT maka FMS nya semakin rendah.   Kata Kunci: Indeks Massa Tubuh, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Pencegahan Cedera   ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of body mass index on Functional Movement Screen (FMS). The research method used was survey research. The population of this study was 39 POPB athletes. And the plan is that this study will be conducted in May-June 2024. The results of this study indicate that there is an inverse relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and Functional Movement Screen (FMS). This is indicated by the value of r = -0.559 with P> 0.05. In conclusion, there is an inverse relationship between BMI and FMS. the higher the BMI, the lower the FMS. Keywords: Body Mass Index, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Injury Prevention
