Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Queen Elizabeth line in the context of its success or failure perspective. In this context, the researcher applied qualitative research method with the aim of developing an insight on the Crossrail project to depict its success or failure story. The researcher collected and analysed data from secondary sources to achieve research aim and objectives. The Elizabeth line is a complex railway engineering infrastructure where it was started after the parliamentary bill approval in 2008 with the enactment of Crossrail act 2008. The project has been developed with 41 stations for connecting east and west London and it required tunnel boring for 26 miles. A decade has been passed for the construction and completion of this project which was started with a conception during 1990s. However, the Crossrail offers improved lifestyles of the citizens who can experience quicker, cleaner public transport in reduced congestion. The better connectivity has created business opportunities where SMEs have found new ways of establishing and performing their business. The researcher has highlighted various aspects of project management such as project life cycle, governance, implementation, stakeholder, risk management, project methodology, etc. to evaluate the Crossrail project and to determine a line between success or failure story.
