Abstract
This paper aims at querying the spirit of militancy in contemporaneity, studying interviews performed with several social movement activists. It discusses the possibilities of militant activity development in present times, after the concept of liquid modernity, which will help us to comprehend the possibilities of being and belonging in the world; and the idea of invention, that seeks to deconstruct the evidences of common sense, abandoning the understanding that the objects of research are natural or permanent, understanding them as ephemeral and in construction. Thus, we seek to produce this estrangement with the matter of militancy so that the views and perspectives of its comprehension may be enhanced far beyond the stereotypes and preconceptions.
