Abstract
We propose interests and reflective perspectives in relation to food as a symbolic world, that is to say, as a set of forms and meanings. A plate of food is conceptualized as a Trinity in which food item, cook and diner are indispensable. We propose a social aesthetic psychology treatment of this topic, which is concerned with the complex relationships between subjects and between subjects and objects, thanks to the combination of sensation, emotion, and feeling and the links with thought and the word. Such a perspective is desdisciplined and presupposes the participation of art, literature and history since eating is a topic that has been narrated for a long time and in different ways, among which the everyday is what particularly interests us.
