Abstract

Natural Floods are the main form of environmental disaster worldwide in terms of frequency, and scale is associated with a tenfold increase in costs over the last half-century. Generally, chronic flood disasters occur in several cities in Southeast Asia, including Jakarta. Misuse of spatial planning is said to be the main factor causing flooding. A community-based approach in urban planning with Green Open Space (RTH) can be a solution to reducing the risk of flood disasters. Through giving directions to the community to comply with regulations in building settlements, administering Building Permits, and consulting first with the PTSP of the nearest sub-district or sub-district before buying land, it is something that the community can do so that the percentage of land use mismatches and land use conversion does not increase.
