Abstract
In Fuel-cell systems, there are problems such as flooding and aging, which cause low output power. Separating one huge stack into several small stacks might lead to a better solution, which can extract the maximum power from each stack, and this method makes higher overall efficiency. Each small stack is connected to a DC-DC switching converter. In this paper, two input three-level boost converter is presented. The command zones of this converter are investigated. The input powers corresponding to the possible duty cycle commands are studied. The simulation results corresponding to the theoretical analysis are given to validate the proposed topology.
