A inserção do profissional de educação física na estratégia saúde da família em uma capital do norte do Brasil

Abstract

We analyze how doctors and nurses who work in the Family Health Strategy perceive the inclusion of the Physical Education professional into Primary Health Care. The qualitative study is based on in-depth interviews. Doctors and nurses are favorable to the insertion of the Physical Education Professional into Family Health. However, they point out that in order to really have effective actions, it is necessary to rethink their professional education. The interviewees do not know the ministerial regulation which has founded the Family Health Support Centers (FHSC).
