Abstract

We present a deep VLA search at 20 cm for the radio counterpart to the X-ray pulsar 1E2259 + 586.The search failed to detect any object within either the existing X-ray error circles or the new ROSAT HRI position. The 3σ upper limit set by these observations of 50μJy is approximately 4 times fainter than previous radio measurements. The implications of this null result are discussed.
