Abstract
An Italian manufacturer of uniforms for hotel, hospital and food preparation workers, Amuco International SpA, of Avellino, near Naples, is profiled. The company produces more than a million uniforms a year, retaining its competitive position by constantly updating its computerized equipment. Pattern-making, cutting, sewing and finishing processes are described.
