Abstract
With the growing application field of RFID, the passive RFID in high speed and dynamic region is the topic of interest of many researchers globally. The major challenges in this area are the reader-tag reading time and anti-collision. After the several readers to tag intercommunications reader is able to process the UII value of the RFID tag, another important consideration in passive RFID system is RFID tags need sufficient time to store energy. The combination of these time quantum results in a quite long time interval which can not be negligible and creates difficulty in reading tags which are moving at a very high speed. In this paper we have done a brief study to realize the minimum required time quantum to read a passive RFID tag and the maximum allowable speed is calculated with the reader parameters. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
