Abstract
1963 steroid sulphates, and by using tests for keto groups, free phenolic groups and S042-ions before and after solvolysis in 8itu, the reactions and R1 values of the metabolite were found to resemble closely those of authentic oestrone sulphate. 4. Solvolysis of the oestrone metabolite gave a product which was identified as oestrone by paper chromatography in the 'system B 5' of Bush (1952) and by reverse isotope dilution. 5.
