Abstract

Herein, we report an efficient and straightforward multicomponent synthesis of phosphorylated dihydropyrimidinone derivatives, via the p-toluenesulfonic acid promoted Biginelli-type reaction of β-ketophosphonates, aldehydes and urea. This method offers significant advantages over prior reports, such as efficiency, high yields and mild reaction conditions. Furthermore it is a green protocol avoiding hazardous metal-based catalysts. ©ARKAT-USA, Inc.
