Abstract

The purpose of this research was to demonstrate the importance ofemployee engagement and its relationship to employee intent to quitwitch moderated by job insecurity on employees frontline state bank inBandung City Indonesia. The method used is explanatory survey methodthat this study took a sample of the population with a questionnaire andinterview techniques as the primary means of data collection. Thesubjects of the study were also as the unit of analysis in this study isthe frontline employees (teller and customer service) that serve thegeneral customers, where the position is vulnerable to employeeturnover, whereas they are the spearhead or the forefront (frontline)that connects to the customer's bank (the customer). A randomly selectedsample of 4 bank was used in this study. A total of 270 respondentsparticipated. Data were analyzed using Smart PLS 2.0. The linearregression analysis indicated there was a significant, strong, andnegative linear relationship between employee engagement level andemployee intent to quit rate. The results of this research promoteemployee engagement is a significant negative effect amounted 41,42% ofthe intention to quit, while the variable job insecurity is not provensignificantly. The conclusion from this study is that the employeengagement give significant influence on the intention to quit andvariable job insecurity is not a variable moderation.
