Abstract

Position of labor is one solution to overcome the old problems of labor. Some positions that can be chosen by the mother include upright position (standing, squatting, sitting) and lying position (left tilt). The research conducted by Nikmah regarding the regulation of labor position helped in the process of accelerating labor and improving the position of labor as the results of the study stated that the majority of the first time period was ≤ 6 hours by 19 respondents (79.2%), and> 6 hours by 5 respondents (20.8% ). The analysis shows that there is a relationship between the left tilt position and the process of accelerating the decline of the fetal head (Nikmah 2017: 53). Experimental case study research with an observational approach. The sampling technique is nonprobability sampling with an accidental sampling method and that meets the selection criteria. The results of the analysis test using the T-test showed that there was a difference in the length of the second stage of labor in primiparous mothers with a left tilted and squatting position, squatting was more effective than the left tilted position.
