Abstract

It can be said that with the determination of the high density, low cholesterol (HDLC), apo A1, A2 and B a considerable proportion of infarct patients and normal patients can be correctly classified by making use of the apo A1/apo B and the apo A1/apo A2 ratios and the HDLC determination. But prospective studies are necessary for a better outline of the place of the apoprotein determination in a screening programme for atherosclerosis.
