This paper builds a theory on the difference between texts and legal norms out of the complexity theory. It understands legal norms as emergent phenomena and interpretations as self-organizing processes in complex systems, which are formed of texts, theories, interpreters, values, worldviews, cases and other. It states that the correction of interpretive claims depends on theories of argumentation. Keywords: Complexity
