Abstract

In a system accompanied by hypothetical chemical reaction vapor-liquid equilibrium ratio, Ki, of component i has been expressed by log Ki=–Ai/T+Bi where T is the absolute temperature, Aiis a constant determined by reaction system and component i, and Biis a constant determined from vapor-liquid equilibrium data for the liquid composition at conversion 0 and/or 1. The object of this paper is to show that the equation mentioned above can also be applied to the system including salt. Following two systems are herein discussed: i-propanol-n-propanol-calcium chloride methanol-ethanol-water-calcium chloride In these systems Aiimplies the salt effect, but its behavior was not definitely observed. © 1975, The Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan.
