Segurança rodoviária nas estradas da responsabilidade municipal: radiografia geral de uma problemática (ainda) inquietante

Abstract

This article is part of a research project that intended to collect information on the municipal measures, existing in the 278 municipalities of continental Portugal, concerning the road safety in roads under their responsibility. This data allowed a reflection on the panorama about the fight against traffic accidents. Besides several findings evidenced during the research development, it is intended to present the major conclusions resulting from a national inquiry to the municipalities. The collected data allowed a unique set of very relevant information, bringing important illations about the country planning, in order to allow an auto-reflection by the municipalities.
