Abstract

This text explains the semantic analysis of consciousness in Vygotsky, taking into account the concept of sense, in the author’s work, in its historical context. For that, I carried out a theoretical study of the chapter “Thought and word” and the book Psychology of art, compared with editions in Russian. I argue that, in first place, the idea of “sense” for LSV is not restricted to language or individual conscience, being also philosophical. I explain in this paper, the notion of semantic (or semasiological) analysis of consciousness, whose mark is the relation between sense and meaning.
