Abstract
The following paper analyses the current legal regime to the air quality monitoring activity, especially, that which is realized through the air quality monitoring stations, in order to clarify the specific issue related to identify the responsible subjects of the activity development, in addition to the authorities with vigilance powers on it. This identifies the relevant actors, the liabilities and public powers of each one to, finally, bring to light the main regulatory flaws of the current legal regime of the air quality monitoring stations, making proposals to improve or update them.
