Abstract

In the last decades, processes of "heritagization" of forgotten memories have been developed in several countries, using, among other transmission instruments, the mobile applications developed by different agents. In this paper, framed within a wider research, a case study associated with that processes is carried out. The objective is to qualitatively analyze the characteristics of seven apps, selected in a previous phase because of their educational potential, in order to establish the current trends in the treatment of the topic and to propose possible improvements. The results obtained certify a wide use of testimonies or personal memories in the apps, what helps to work on historical empathy. However, they mostly provide a one-sided account of the conflict involved and do not use deliberative methodologies for the common reconstruction of past facts.
