Abstract

Thirteen compds. were isolated from Et acetate fraction of 95% ethanol ext. from fruits of A. oxyphylla by silica gel, reverse phase C18 silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and MCI column chromatog. These compds. were identified as yakuchinone A(1), oxyphyllacinol (2), chrysin (3), rhamnocitrin (4), oxyphyllenodiol A(5), oxyphyllenodiol B(6), nootkatone (7), dehydro-nootkatone (8), 7-epi-teucrenone (9), oxyphyllenone A (10), oxyphyllenone B(11), protocatechuic acid(12) and succinic acid (13) by chem. and spectral anal. Compds. 4 and 13 were isolated from this plant for the first time and compd. 8 was a new natural product. [on SciFinder(R)]
