Abstract

Power Quality is the key term comes in to picture while we discuss about the power transmission and distribution. Now a days we are moving towards the non- conventional energy sources i.e Renewable energy sources like solar and wind energy etc. It reduces the pollution and it is environmentally friendly.It can meet the large demand of power which was caused by the growth of population. Moreover, we are going to face a tough situation with the fossil fuels as they were depleting.The energy demand and usage of the country will show the development of the country.Among the all renewable energy sources, solar is the dominant and mostly available in all the time when compared to other sources.It is pollution less and free cost. If we integrate the solar energy with the grid,the power quality of the system will have an adverse effect. It improves the power quality of a system.In this paper, we are going to integrate the solar energy to the grid to improve the power quality of the system.Here we are going to use the PV array,boost converter, inverter,PI controller and Fuzzy Controller.The Shunt Active Power Filter was designed to filter the harmonics and for the reactive power compensation.
