Abstract

The ionization of the hydrogen atom by few-cycle ultrashort laser pulses is studied using classical and quantum mechanical models. The reliability of these models for various laser pulse parameters is discussed. Our attention is focused on the intra-pulse interference effects [1] and its dependence on the laser pulse parameters. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
