Abstract

This study was performed in 9 buffaloes with TRP (without traumatic pericarditis). After the clinical and laboratory examination and confirmation of the disease, Electrocardiography was accomplished in the Base - Apex lead system to detection of the cardiac arrhythmias. Two blood samples were performed for the biochemical and hematological tests. 5 buffaloes (55.6%) had cardiac arrhythmias (2 cases with sinus tachycardia, 1 case with premature atrial beat, 1 case with atrioventricular block I and 1 case with atrioventricular block II). Between changes of the ECG and some electrolyte imbalances was a relation in these animals. These cardiac arrhythmias were physiologic.
