Abstract

The multiple effect (ME) process allows optimised desalination at an attractive cost while conserving the proven reliability of seawater distillation. ME has already superseded the more classic MSF in the range of unit productions up to about 10,000 TPD and tends to increase its leading position further to larger unit capacities. © 1993.
