Abstract
Building early expert systems was a lengthy process that required the knowledge engineer to develop suitable knowledge representation and search techniques. Now the ESSAI toolkit speeds up development by putting a comprehensive range of techniques at the disposal of the knowledge engineer who can choose the most suitable approach for each application.
