Abstract

The main aim of this paper is neither to rethink the religious theories of the concept of the Other, which are alive in the different World Religions, nor to analyze the philosophical theories of the Other, such as M. Buber's, M. Heidegger's, I. Levinas's or P. Ricoeur's theories, nor the sociological theories such as those of G. H. Mead or Ch H. Cooley, but to analyze the different plots of meaning intertwined in the facticity of several proto-typical encounters with the Other trying to understand them from a hermeneutical point of view. © 2013 CSIC.
