Abstract

In this study the third order elastic constants of ultra-high performance concretes (UHPC) and high performance concretes (HPC) are experimentally determined. To extract the nonlinear elastic constants of these materials acoustoelastic experiments are conducted by measuring the velocity changes of the ultrasonic waves travelling perpendicularly to the applied compressive loading.
