Abstract
Geological, topographic and climatic conditions are fundamental in causing the glacial phenomena, and their characteristics and their relationships are discussed. Observations on glaciations were carried out in the Khumbu, Hinku and Hongu regions, east Nepal, from September to October, 1976. Glaciations in the Nepal Himalayas are discussed, and two stages of the past glacier advance were dated to be 8th and 16th centuries by "C analyses.
