Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Teknik Dasar Tolak Peluru Gaya Menyamping dengan Menggunakan Gaya Mengajar Guided Discovery di SMP Negeri 2 Gandusari Kabupaten Trenggalek

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to improve the basic technique skills of sideways style shot put in class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Gandusari by applying the guided discovery teaching method (guided meeting). This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisted of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection with the subjects of class VII-A students of SMP Negeri 2 Gandusari. The results showed that there was an increase in sideways style shot put skills in class VII-A students using guided discovery teaching style. From 19 students in the first cycle with test results up to the second cycle there was an increase, bullet holding technique 68.4 percent to 94.7 percent of 18 students, 52.5 percent of prefixes to 89.4 percent of 17 students, 57.8 percent repulsion to 100 percent of 19 students, and attitude final from 68.4 percent to 95 percent of 18 students, and in the good category. The conclusion of the research is the application of the guided discovery teaching style method can improve the basic technique skills of sideways shot put style. Researchers can be applied to classes that experience similar problems. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknik dasar tolak peluru gaya menyamping pada kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gandusari dengan penerapan metode mengajar guided discovery (pertemuan terpandu). Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan dua siklus, setiap siklus terdapat 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi dengan subjek siswa kelas VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Gandusari. Pada hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan tolak peluru gaya menyamping pada siswa kelas VII-A dengan menggunakan gaya mengajar guided discovery. Dari 19 siswa pada siklus I dengan hasil  tes hingga siklus II mengalami peningkatan, teknik memegang peluru 68.4 persen menjadi 94.7 persen dari 18 siswa, awalan 52.5 persen menjadi 89.4 persen dari 17 siswa, tolakan 57.8 persen menjadi 100 persen dari 19 siswa, dan sikap akhir dari 68.4 persen menjadi 95 persen dari 18 siswa, dan masuk kategori baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah penerapan metode gaya mengajar guided discovery dapat meningkatkan keterampilan teknik dasar tolak peluru gaya menyamping.  Peneliti dapat diterapkan pada kelas yang mengalami kemiripan permasalahan.
