Abstract
We prove that the regularizing Levenberg-Marquardt scheme, introduced for nonlinear ill-posed problems, achieves order optimal accuracy under standard assumptions on the nonlinearity of the underlying operator equation. © 2010 Rocky Mountain Mathematics Consortium.
