Abstract

This article reviews developments in Dutch national sport policy. It focuses on the changing role of national and local governments and umbrella organizations of sport. The article further analyzes the relationship between elite sport policy and grass roots sport policy, showing an increasingly powerful advocacy coalition for elite sport.
