Abstract

This study aims to increase the energy absorption value of previous researchers by comparing the crashbox given by Full Crash Initiator with a crashbox without crash initiator. Crashbox that is used has circle, hexagonal, and origami trapezoid. This analysis was carried out through the finite element method with the help of ANSYS software with a collision speed of 7.67 m / s. The results of this study indicate that giving a full crash initiator to a crashbox can increase the value of energy absorption compared to without a crash initiator.
