Abstract

Complications of pregnancy and childbirth can be prevented by strengthening the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women through in-class education for pregnant women. To make the class for pregnant women effective, it is necessary to implement a class model for pregnant women aimed at pregnant women who are classified as high risk with the application of Inter Professional Collaboration (RESTIKOL). The type of quantitative research is Quasi Experiment, Post test design-Only Control Group Design. The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of the RESTIKOL class of pregnant women on reducing pregnancy complications and preventing childbirth complications. The study sample was 20 high risk pregnant women in each class (there are 10 classes), the total sample was 200 pregnant women at high risk, divided into the intervention group and the control group. The intervention in the treatment group was given education with the RESTIKOL class model of pregnant women. Univariate data analysis used the Mean formula (average), while bivariate analysis used the Independent T-test. The results showed that the RESTIKOL class of pregnant women was more effective in reducing pregnancy complications (anemia (p=value .011) KEK (p=value .005.), weight gain (p=value) .000.) and Hypertension (p=value .018.). as well as preventing childbirth complications with a p-value of .000 compared to the pregnant women class (KIH).Conclusion: the RESTIKOL class of pregnant women is more effective in reducing pregnancy complications and preventing childbirth complications than the class of pregnant women (KIH).
