Abstract

A wattmeter standard, based on digital sampling, has been designed and evaluated for the audio frequency range. The wattmeter is based on two commercially available sampling digital voltmeters (DVM's). The power spectrum is calculated with discrete Fourier transform (DFT) analysis. High accuracy is achieved by phase locking and equal-spaced simultaneous sampling. © 1999 IEEE.
