Abstract

Comparative study of different shaped copper nanoparticles is performed on the flow of nanoliquid flow due to flat surface. Modeling is done with the boundary layer approximations and utilizing the experimentally verified correlations allied to thermophysical properties of nanofluids. Numerical solutions are computed by shooting scheme and built-in-routine bvp4c (MATLAB). Results of both studies are also compared. Impacts of physical constraints on velocity and temperature are offered in graphical form. Coefficients for skin friction, Nusselt number and the heat transfer augmentation are additionally organized and dissected for various designed nanoparticles. Results perceived that the shape of nanoparticles influences the skin-friction, local Nusselt number and rate of heat transfer enhancement significantly. Temperature of nanofluid is extreme when platelets type nanoparticles are involved and trailed by other shapes, respectively.
