ELECTRE Yöntemiyle Tekstil Sektöründe Optimal Kuruluş Yeri Seçimi: Uşak İli Örneği

Abstract

Today's economic life maintains its progress rapidly. All companies are affected from these changes in certain points and this situation compels companies to take optimal decisions. So; textile sector, accepted as locomotive of domestic trade in Turkey, has to take these optimum desicions most efficiently. Even so textile sector faces with crises in both our country and all around the world, it is seen as worth investing for the investors because of its attractiveness .In fierce competition environment, one of the points to be considered in feasibility study is optimal location choice. Location choice is an important starting point in terms of a company's future. A feasibility study has to be made pre-investment location choice. Because of the structure of fixed investments, transportation investments cost a lot while moving to another location. On this account, multi-criteria decision-making models and decision-taking processes become operational in the form of many alternatives for investors. In this study, it is tried to determine the optimal location among three location alternatives (Usak O.S.B., Usak Karma O.S.B. and Usak Karahallı O.S.B.) for a textile company to be established in Usak. Company locaiton criteria have been evaluated by the ELECTRE method using in determining optimal location choice. According to the obtained results; Usak O.S.B. has taken place on the top, Usak Karma O.S.B. has ranked number two and Usak Karahallı O.S.B. has become third.
