Abstract

The lack of comprehension of students' mathematical ideas spurred this study's application of a learning strategy that can enhance that knowledge, namely Matematika GASING (Gampang, Asyik, dan Menyenangkan) learning. This study aims to investigate the description of increasing the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who learn to use Matematika GASING learning. The method used is the descriptive quantitative research method. The subjects used were five students from different schools: two students from SMP Negeri 2 Pagedangan, two students from SMP Negeri 3 Ambon, and a student from SMP Negeri 8 South Tangerang. These subjects were given the treatment of online Matematika GASING learning. The instrument used in this study was a test for understanding mathematical concepts given through a pretest and post-test. The research data obtained were then calculated and described to conclude. The results of this study indicate that there is no increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts by learning Matematika GASING online. This is because several activities in the learning process are not implemented as well as students who are not used to learning online.
