Abstract

The article explores academic library user preferences for the delivery of library instruction. Particular focus is given to a rise in interest in delivery based on digital game platforms such as that utilized in the massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft. The presentation of directional information through a 3D immersive graphical user interface (GUI) is examined and types of communication media used to present library instruction on topics including library layout and information literacy are explored.
