Abstract
In order to present a short review of the basic principles of, and a theoreticalapproach to, thermoluminescence, the usual basic thermoluminescence modeland the various kinetic electron-hole recombination types are presented. Theapplication to the dosimetry of ionizing radiations is then discussed. © EDP Sciences, 1990.
