Abstract
A 502 (V) multiplied by 600 (H) Frame-Interline Transfer (FIT) CCD has been developed, and smear level variable electronic shutter and new integration mode have been examined. The smear level is lowered to 0. 0003% at transfer frequency of 1 MHz. Operating principle of the variable electronic shutter is described. Operations have been confirmed for shutter speeds of 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000 secs. A new frame integration mode is proposed to solve problems of conventional integration modes and experimental results are reported.
