Abstract

Transformational leadership has become the most affecting factor that influences organizational innovation since the last becomes the critical surviving elements in today business. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to discuss the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational innovation and to present a proposed model of organizational innovation by viewing transformational leadership as having a direct effect on organizational innovation. Emotional intelligence has been proposed as a moderator in this relationship. This study reviews the literature of the transformational leadership, organizational innovation and emotional intelligence to support the proposed model. This study illustrates that transformational leaders with high emotional intelligence would heighten the organizational innovation. © Medwell Journals, 2012.
