Abstract

The article discusses the intricacies of library acquisitions in the 21st century. The author describes her duties as both an Acquisitions Librarian and a Subject Librarian at a medium-sized university. She describes the academic backgrounds of Technical Services librarians. Emphasis is given to the relationship between university faculty members and Acquisition Librarians, along with her library reference services duties. The author appreciates the connections formed between librarians, faculty members, and university students.
